Perform specimen handling, urinalysis, ECGs, and Holter monitoring as a Medical Laboratory Assistant I at Westlock Healthcare Centre. Work across inpatient and outpatient collections in Westlock.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide effective, efficient, and protected clinical laboratory service. Your duties include procuring, handling, processing, dispatching, and testing specimens. You will perform procedures, report results, and gain experience with send outs, urinalysis, ECGs, and Holter monitors. This is a regular full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect inpatient and outpatient specimens
- Handle and process specimens, including send outs
- Procure, dispatch, and test laboratory specimens
- Perform urinalysis, ECGs,



and Holter monitors
- Report laboratory results safely and efficiently

Requirements:

- Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program completion
- Equivalent Canadian MLT or CLXT program completion
- Completed phlebotomy training or rotation
- Hospital medical laboratory assistant experience preferred
- Satisfactory criminal record check or Vulnerable Sector Search
