Operates milling equipment (Milling Machine or Cold Planer) to properly mill asphalt/concrete to desired specifications based on usage Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of milling machine that mills asphalt and concrete on roadways and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Experience working with construction crews with measurable production goals. Flexible availability to include overtime,
possible weekends and nights. Thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.
Thorough understanding of the paving milling process (cold planing, asphalt milling and profiling) is considered an asset Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
