Role Description The Mortgage Agent is a full-time, hybrid role based in Vaughan, ON, with flexibility for some work from home. In this position, the agent will consult with prospective and existing clients to assess their financial situations, recommend appropriate mortgage products, and guide them through application, approval, and closing. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, conducting mortgage assessments, preparing and submitting mortgage applications, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The agent will maintain regular communication with lenders, underwriters, and other partners, while providing ongoing support and updates to clients. The role also involves staying informed on market trends,



interest rates, and lending guidelines to provide current and relevant advice.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and familiarity with Mortgages across various product types.
- Candidates should possess experience in Mortgage Lending, including working with lenders, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Mortgage Servicing, such as managing client accounts, payment schedules, and post-closing support.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Mortgage Marketing, including networking, lead generation, and client relationship management.
- Relevant qualifications such as a valid mortgage agent or broker license (as required in Ontario) and experience in financial services or real estate.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple files, and use CRM or mortgage software tools proficiently.
