Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Night Dispatcher to join our logistics team. This role is vital in coordinating transportation operations during overnight hours, ensuring smooth communication between drivers, warehouse staff, and clients. The ideal candidate will possess solid communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the seamless flow of freight and supply chain processes during critical night shifts.

Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate freight shipments, deliveries, and pickups during overnight hours using transportation management systems such as SyteLine and AS400.
- Monitor multi-line phone systems to receive and relay information accurately between drivers, clients, and internal departments.
- Maintain detailed data entry records related to shipping & receiving, freight status, and logistical updates.
- Analyze shipment data to identify potential delays or issues, providing solutions to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and warehouse staff via phone etiquette and professional communication skills to facilitate efficient operations.
- Oversee shipping & receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.




- Assist with supply chain coordination for 3PL providers and manage documentation related to freight movements.
- Perform routine analysis of operational data to improve dispatch efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Skills

- Proficiency with transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, and other logistics software.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret logistical data and identify operational improvements.
- Effective communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to convey information clearly across multi-line phone systems.
- Ability to handle freight-related documentation and shipping & receiving procedures accurately.
- Typing skills for quick data input during fast-paced night operations.
- Experience working within supply chain environments or 3PL logistics is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during overnight shifts.

This role is essential for maintaining operational excellence during night hours by ensuring effective dispatching, communication, and logistical coordination across all freight activities. Pay: $18.21-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48.0 – 50.0 per week
