Where You Will Be Working

Nasittuq supports operations across the North Warning System (NWS) , a network of remote sites located throughout Canada's Arctic. Working in the North offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure while experiencing some of the country's most remote and remarkable landscapes. In keeping with our commitment to northern communities and Indigenous employment, priority consideration will be given to qualified Inuit beneficiaries, including those enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement, Inuvialuit Final Agreement, and Nunatsiavut Land Claims Agreement.

Maintain the facilities in a healthy, safe, and sanitary condition.

Escalate maintenance, custodial, and safety issues to the supervisor as necessary. Perform janitorial and housekeeping tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and more.



Assist with kitchen duties, including unloading and stocking foodstuffs and general kitchen cleaning.

Report any concerns immediately to the supervisor.

High School

Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping functions considered an asset. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety guidelines.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Capability to work in physically demanding, adverse weather conditions in remote locations. Reliable, team-oriented, with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

This is a permanent, full time position (48 hours per week), Monday to Saturday Must be willing to travel to other adjacent sites as requested Overtime calculated at 1.5x over 40 hours/week ~6% Vacation Pay ~ ROTATION & OVERTIME: 6 weeks in/6 weeks out rotation (48-hour workweeks) with overtime at 1.5x your base rate. Paid travel days (up to 2 days) with all travel costs covered. Private accommodation with meals, Wi-Fi, TV, laundry facilities, and recreation.
