At I See Eyecare we strive to give our clients and patients the best customer experience while fulfilling all of their optical needs. While working for I See Eyecare you will be helping customers look and feel their best, while expanding your current knowledge and passion for the industry. You will be working alongside two qualified Optometrists and one Optician who are devoted to their work and their patients.

This position is intended to provide maternity leave coverage for approximately one year, with full time hours during the contract period. There may be an prospect for the successful candidate to transition into a permanent part time position upon completion of the contract, depending on business needs.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

- Greet all patients and clientele with a warm, inviting welcome. Engage in conversation politely to distinguish all customer needs and services to be provided.
- Reception duties, such as; filing, paperwork, telephone and computer use as well as helping with the Optometrists’ booking and patient pre-testing.
- Guide patients with the proper ophthalmic frame and lens selection to fulfill all of their optical needs.




- Recommend lens specifications intellectually and meticulously to fulfill customer's prescription needs.
- Prepare work order for each optical laboratory with specifications and lens requirements.
- Ensure a positive and friendly working environment when working with co workers, as well as customers.
- Adheres to all of the company policies and procedures including dress code
- Attentive to all tasks at hand, while having the ability to multitask under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous Optical experience is an asset, salary will vary on experience.
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
- Experience with checking OHIP eligibility and eye exam pre-testing.
- Checking insurance eligibility and submitting patient's benefits accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems and computer technology.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
