MEDICAL/SURGICAL POSITION LOCATION: OPSEU – SERVICE PART-TIMEREASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT Reporting to the Manager, and under the guidance of an RN and RPN, the Personal Care Assistant (PCA) will assist with routine activities of patient care within the agreed upon plan of care and will be performing cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification or clinical specialty, as required. The PCA promotes an environment that is optimal for the physical, social and emotional well-being of our patients. Certificate of Completion of the Personal Support Worker Program from a recognized Community College or a combination of relevant experience and education preferably from an acute care facility.





Recent experience as a in a healthcare facility Successful completion of corporate Code White training (to be provided) Working knowledge of Infection Control Practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals Ability to work all shifts Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Comply with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures and regulations, and actively contribute to maintaining a protected and healthy work environment #
