Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide exceptional in-home care and support to clients with diverse needs. This vital role involves assisting individuals in maintaining their independence, ensuring their safety, and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for caregiving, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients requiring senior care, dementia support, or assistance with disabilities, all within a supportive and professional setting.

Location: Amherstburg ON

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support clients with mobility exercises and recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being




- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Follow care plans meticulously while respecting client preferences and dignity

Experience

- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings is preferred
- Experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care, is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach toward clients’ needs
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid experience working with diverse populations requiring personalized care plans
