College's Summer Camps. The Before & After Care Program Director isresponsible for managing, operating and overseeing the Appleby Summer CampProgram area & the assigned camp staff. Reporting to the Camp Director,this position involves extensive planning, program development &enhancement;, facilitating cross-camp activities/themes, camper and parent careand engagement, staff training and risk management.

Pre-Camp Planning: Organize, plan, and coordinate all aspects of program area that canbe done prior to summer including purchasing supplies, recruiting guestspeakers, and sub-committee work. Attend monthly Senior Staff meetings prior to the summer. Adhere to all health and safety policies and protocols.

Contribute to strategic planning and development based on communityresearch, competitor review, and analysis of previous years. Develop and deliver training modules that support the professionaldevelopment of camp staff and volunteers. Ensure all training modules include an element of follow-up,discussion, and analysis.

Manage facilities, equipment,



and programs in accordance withAppleby College standards. Prepare and deliver staff performance evaluations. Act as first aid and behavior management response presence forprogram area.

Manage safe drop-off and pick-up for all campers in program area. Gather suggestions and ideas for the following summer. Debrief after summer is completed. Before & After Care Program Director Criteria and Specific Duties Post-secondary education in recreation, sport, child & youth,or related field preferred.

Supervise

Before & After Care program staff and createschedules. Training & Pre-Camp Monthly meetings and planning assignments: approximately 8 hoursper month, beginning December 2026 until the full-time contract begins.

Evening
