AREF Psychotherapy is a virtual, multilingual clinic serving clients across Ontario. We are a WSIB Mental Health Program of Care provider, and we're growing our first responder team. We're looking for independent contractors with experience supporting police, firefighters, paramedics, corrections officers, dispatchers and other public safety personnel.
What you'll do
- Provide virtual assessments and psychotherapy to first responders and WSIB clients with work-related trauma, PTSD, operational stress injuries, anxiety and depression
- Write WSIB treatment plans and progress reports on time
- Work with our multidisciplinary team (supervising psychologist, OT, RPs)
All WSIB assessments and treatment are conducted under the supervision of our psychologist.
Requirements
- Registered with CRPO, OCSWSSW, CPO or another Ontario regulatory college, in good standing
- Experience working with first responders or public safety personnel
- Completion of at least one first responder–focused training program, e.g.
Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR), CIPSRT training, Wounded Warriors Canada clinical training, or similar
- WSIB experience is preferred. If you don't have it, we provide training
- Trauma-informed training (e.g. CPT, PE, EMDR, or TF-CBT) is an asset
- Second language is an asset
- Own professional liability insurance

- $100–$130 per therapy session
