The Quality Engineer will serve as both a technical design authority and a customer-facing lead for ABB Critical Power projects. This role combines engineering responsibilities with commercial customer engagement to ensure successful project delivery and resolution of customer quality issues. Utilizing management skills, technical understanding of products, and communication skills to lead the ABB service, engineering, factory, and product management to solve and resolve customer quality issues.The work model for the role is: HybridThis role is contributing to the: ELSP critical powerYou will be mainly accountable for:Act as ABB’s primary point of contact for customers experiencing quality or technical issues.Conduct onsite visits as needed and maintain robust customer relationships.Serve as technical resource for resolving quality issues, including creating action plans and timelines.Communicate product improvements and market trends to commercial and product management leadership.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards, anticipate challenges, applying learnt concepts and methods.Collaborate with product management, engineering, factory, service, and supply chain teams.Participate in project meetings, kick-off sessions, and design freeze reviews.Manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain accountability for resultsQualifications for the role:B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)



with 8+ years of experience in electrical distribution or power systems;Strong interpersonal and communicationProficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and ability to leverage AI tools in job functions.Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.Capability to establish and nurture partnership relationships with ABB Product management, engineering, and service.Experience with LV/MV UPS systems, batteries, static transfer switches, power conditioning, PDUs, and ATS.Previous field, factory, or design engineering experience in data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities.Ability to travel approximately 25% for customer visits and project support.You’ll grow through meaningful work, continuous learning, and support that’s tailored to your goals.
