We are committed to supporting children and families in our community.As a Compass ELC Site Lead, you will work as a Registered Early Childhood Educator alongside some of the industry's most passionate, caring,



and dedicated educators.Working as part of a team with fellow Early Childhood Educators, Families, School Communities, and Children.Ensuring the safety of staff and children.Being willing and confident to engage in difficult conversations with educators, families, children, and community partners.Having daily administrative and pedagogical time.Responsible for billing, accounts receivable, enrollments, and managing the child care waitlist.Ensuring that the program is meeting the requirements set out by licensing as per the Child Care Early Years Act, and in line with How Does Learning Happen, Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.Welcoming and training new staff into your program, including supply staffPlanning and implementing play-based experiences following observations of children’s interests.25 of these hours will be in the program from 7 am to 9 am and 3 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. The additional 10 hours per week you will be expected to work in our administration office for administrative tasks, documentation, and pedagogy. when working a minimum of 15 hoursPaid RECE membership dues.Paid Time Off - starting at 4% vacation accrued annually on hours worked and 4% personal sick time accrued annually on hours workedUnpaid Time - an option for permanent staff to purchase up to 4 weeks of unpaid time that is prorated off of 24 paysSkills and Qualifications:Required:Is familiar with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards in a childcare program.A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working as an Early Childhood Educator or EquivalentPossesses the training and documents required by the Ministry of Education, Compass Early Learning and Care, and the Child Care Early Years Act to work in a childcare setting:Clear Police Vulnerable Sector CheckStandard First Aid and CPR Level CUpdated immunization records (Or a signed and notarized refusal of affidavit or medical exemption).Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators, or has a post-secondary degree in a recognized field (i.e.
