Smythe LLP seeks an experienced Senior Tax Manager for its growing Canadian Tax Group. You will guide tax planning and compliance for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals. The position combines technical research, practical advice, client relationships, and people development. You will work with Partners and colleagues on complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
Lead corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax engagements
Prepare client correspondence and technical memoranda
Research legislation and case law for technical advice
Mentor team members and provide technical guidance
Identify planning opportunities and additional client needs
Requirements
Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program
Robust Canadian tax knowledge and practical problem-solving ability
Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
Experience mentoring and developing team members
Collaborative, proactive approach across technical levels
