Purpose and Scope The Sales Manager, Fleet Support is responsible for sales, marketing and bids & proposals activities that will result in the growth of Comtek’s business. Primary focus is on Product Sales & Product Development services; may also be involved in sales and business development activities for Repair Services (MRO) as directed.

The Sales

Manager, Fleet Support is also the tactical owner of the bids and proposals process for Product-based Fleet support opportunities, as well as all sales-related forecasting activities. Organizes, delegates and / or participates in all business development activities (sales calls, trade shows, account management).

Responsibilities

- Work with the Comtek sales team to develop the tactical means to achieve the company goals
- Design and implement specific business development plans for targeted customers / products
- Identify potential customers based on potential fit for Comtek’s existing product portfolio and/or new products within Comtek’s business and sales strategy.
- Develop relationships with new candidate customers while maintaining/strengthening existing relationships
- Work with the MRO - Services group to present a unified, consistent, and complete image of Comtek’s Capabilities
- Contribute to regular sales forecasting and budgeting process with the Senior Business Development Manager.
- Achieve annual department goals for assigned direct sales accounts as agreed with Senior Business Development Manager
- Support and collaborate with Comtek’s international sales team(s) and/or authorized distributors (if applicable)
- Develop information transfer packages to allow supporting departments adequate input into the sales process, and to ensure that business development efforts are linked to production
- Lead an interdisciplinary team to produce comprehensive production concepts, cost models,



and business cases to support new product identification and launch.
- When required additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Senior Business Development Manager.

Organizational Relationships The position will involve frequent interaction with other members of the sales team, particularly Business Development Manager, Inside Sales Team (KAMs and CSRs) as well as interaction with Engineering, Operations and Quality Assurance personnel.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

A. Academic Qualifications

· University Degree in Engineering or Diploma in a Technologist program preferred.

B. Training

- No specific training is required

C. Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant technical role is an asset
- Airline / Aerospace experience is a definite asset
- A sales background in manufacturing is an asset

D. Managerial Experience
- At least two years in a position where team leadership and organizational skills can be observed and evaluated by a broad cross section of the Comtek Senior Management Team

E. Skills · Exemplary communication skills in reading, writing and speaking English. Fluency in French is an asset.

· A “self starter” with excellent computer skills

· Must have the ability to present and conduct them self in a mature, qualified, courteous and competent manner, in keeping with the corporate image that Comtek wishes to present to its customers

· Sound judgment and initiative required to provide superior customer service and solve complex customer problems and issues

· Must have the ability to learn, understand and communicate the technical features and benefits of Comtek’s product and service offerings

· Must possess the ability to gain and hold customer trust at a personal level

· Must have the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team to produce a comprehensive production, costing, and business case model based on customer inputs

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
