Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Salon Assistant/Junior Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the hair industry and excellent customer service skills. This position is part-time with the transition to full-time. Candidates must be finished school and have a minimum of 1-3 years experience.

Duties

- Assist stylists and salon staff with various tasks
- Greet and seat clients, providing exceptional customer service
- Support retail sales by recommending products and upselling services
- Sanitize tools, workstations, and common areas to maintain a clean environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Help with front desk duties such as answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Perform various services; apply colour, highlighting, blow outs, washing

Experience





- Previous experience in customer service is a plus
- Familiarity with retail sales and upselling techniques preferred
- Knowledge of scheduling operations is advantageous
- Ability to sanitate tools and work areas effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members efficiently
- Interest in learning basic hair styling techniques
- Colour applications on a daily basis
- Wash, blow dry & style hair (curl, etc.)

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
