As a Security Guard with Commissionaires Nova Scotia, you will play an important role in protecting people, property, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining our reputation for providing the highest quality security services in Nova Scotia.





Provide a professional, courteous, and welcoming presence while delivering exceptional customer service. Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to help maintain a protected and secure environment. Monitor and control access to facilities in accordance with site-specific security procedures.

Verify identification, credentials, and visitor access as required. Monitor security systems, cameras, and alarms where applicable. Follow all site-specific security procedures, Commissionaires Nova Scotia policies, and client requirements.

Report hazards, safety concerns, suspicious activity, or security breaches promptly. Participate in required training and maintain all required certifications and security clearances. Be able to understand and command a comprehensive working knowledge of National Defence Security Orders and Directives (NDSODs), DND Security Orders, MARLANTORDS, and all other pertinent DND orders and directives.

Not have a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted. Able to complete a criminal record check and credentialing. Are eligible to apply for, and attain, a Government of Canada personnel security screening.
