Senior Accountant | $85,000–$105,000 | Hamilton (Hybrid) This prospect is with an established CPA firm in Hamilton where Senior Accountants have genuine responsibility for engagements, clients and the people working underneath them. You’ll get a broad public accounting role across privately held and owner-managed businesses, rather than spending the year doing the same type of engagement for the same type of client. Broad accounting, assurance and tax exposure ~ Audit, review and compilation engagements ~ Tax planning and advisory exposure ~ Take a senior role on audit engagements Prepare corporate T2 and personal T1 returns Assist with trust, partnership and other tax filings where required Assist Managers and Partners with tax planning matters Review work prepared by junior accountants and CPA students Become increasingly involved in the commercial side of client relationships 3+ years of Canadian public accounting experience ~ Previous audit exposure ~ Experience preparing corporate and personal tax returns ~ CPA designation preferred, although strong candidates progressing toward their CPA will be considered ~
