We are a fast-growing wealth management firm with over $23 billion in assets under administration, comprised of five integrated entities: CIRO dealer, investment counsel, asset manager, U.Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and insurance company. We currently have a career prospect for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team.

This role will be located at our head office in Vancouver, BC .

The Senior

Accountant will be a key owner of month-end accounting, commission reconciliations, and audit support. The role will work closely with the Finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders, provide support to team members and help strengthen the accuracy, efficiency and consistency of our accounting processes. Owning assigned areas of the month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, working papers, variance follow-up and closing deliverables across multiple entities Ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, completely and in the appropriate period, with clear supporting documentation and audit trails Investigating reconciling items, unusual activities and accounting issues and driving them through to timely resolution Researching accounting issues and applying appropriate accounting treatment to recurring and non-routine transactions Preparing monthly internal financial statements and supporting regulatory and indirect tax filings,



such as GST/HST/QST filings Providing support for year-end audit and other external audits, including preparing working paper and supporting documentation and responding to audit requests Identifying opportunities to streamline recurring tasks, reduce manual effort, improve data quality and strengthen internal controls Acting as a resource to junior team members, providing guidance, training and review support as required Contributing to Finance projects, departmental priorities and other ad hoc assignments A bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or financial management A CPA designation, or active progress towards completion Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in financial services or wealth management industry Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, working papers and financial reporting Self-starter who can work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative Finance team Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify more efficient ways of working Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Experience with Sage Intacct or other enterprise-level accounting software Diversity and Inclusion Diversity is an important value to us.
