We are working with a growing construction company that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its finance team. This is a hands on accounting role with responsibility for general ledger, reconciliations, month end close, financial reporting and supporting the day to day financial operations of the business. Prepare journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations Complete bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed Assist with cash flow,



budgeting and forecasting Support external audits and provide schedules and documentation Maintain fixed asset and capital expenditure records Help improve accounting processes and internal controls Work with operations and management on accounting and financial matters Support other accounting projects as needed 4+ years of accounting experience ~ Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance or a related field ~ CPA designation or working toward a CPA is an asset ~ Strong general ledger and financial reporting experience ~ Positive understanding of Canadian accounting principles ~ Strong Excel and accounting system skills ~ Construction or contracting experience is an asset ~ This would suit someone who likes a hands on accounting role and wants to take ownership of their work.

You will work closely with both the finance and operations teams and have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the company grows. #
