This senior position combines people management with technical delivery across projects of varying scale and complexity. You will guide workload planning, mentor design staff, develop project approaches, and serve as a mechanical design expert. Collaboration with clients, contractors, manufacturers, building officials, and multidisciplinary teams is central.

Key Responsibilities

Manage workload, assignments, staffing needs, and resource planning

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program

Minimum 12 years of building mechanical engineering experience

Qualified Engineer licensure required in Alberta

Strong HVAC, mechanical systems, and applicable codes knowledge

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and load software
