Team for this project consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (As the Senior Estimator, your role is essential in ensuring the financial viability and success of the Development and Construction phases. You will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, and risk assessments for the project, facilitating informed decision-making and cost effective solutions. Leading in Cost Estimation, involving meticulous analysis of civil construction project requirements, standards, and specifications to develop the target price overarching project goals.
Identifying
Cost-Saving Opportunities scrutinizing project components and processes for cost efficiencies. Prepare detailed cost estimates for various components of the project, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Utilize historical data, industry benchmarks, and current market conditions to develop accurate cost projections.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify scope requirements and cost drivers. Incorporate value engineering and cost-saving measures to optimize project budgets without compromising quality or safety. Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs from project drawings and specifications to quantify materials, labor hours, and other resources required for construction.
Verify quantities against project requirements and specifications to identify discrepancies or potential scope changes. Prepare comprehensive bid packages in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or Requests for Bids (RFBs) from clients or project owners. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to solicit competitive bids and pricing for project components and services.
Review bid documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements before submission. Present cost estimates and bid proposals to senior management and participate in bid review meetings as needed.

such as market fluctuations, regulatory changes, and unforeseen conditions, and incorporate risk factors into cost estimates. Collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks and minimize cost impacts. Collaborate with design and construction teams to identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions that enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Evaluate lifecycle costs and long-term benefits of different design and construction alternatives to support informed decision-making. Recommend cost-effective design modifications or construction methods that maintain project quality while reducing overall project costs. Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify cost drivers, trends, and potential cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Work collaboratively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to gather project information and requirements.
