We are seeking an experienced embedded DSP Developer to join our dynamic team in creating the building blocks to enable digital transformation in the power grid, focused on signal digitization, protection & control infrastructure devices! The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of embedded systems architecture with DSP, software and hardware architectures, and protection application knowledge within the Transmission & Distribution power-system domain. You will be responsible for executing a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of embedded systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.

As part of a multi-developer firmware team the major responsibilities will include architecture, analysis, design of embedded solutions for Square/UR product line.

The Senior Staff

Developer – Embedded SW Development will report to the Senior Embedded SW Manager. Analyze complex challenging requirements to architect effective DSP design solutions making up the overall system architecture including hardware, embedded DSP software, software tools, V&V; and test rigs. Provide forward-looking strategies for platforms and technology development, technical risks elimination and insertion, in order to make the platform reliable and the product competitive.

Making data-driven decisions using defined trade‑off criteria. Facilitate, drive discussions and steer cross‑functional councils to solve issues, drive decisions, gain consensus,



and align on technical risk mitigation strategies. Application of technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems, using multiple internal sources and some external sources to arrive at decisions.

Provide timely communications on significant issues, risks and/or developments. Maintaining a focus on safety, reliability, performance, and security for embedded systems. Handle change management and impact analysis.

Use persuasion skills to influence others on topics within field. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering Minimum of 10 years software development experience A minimum of 8 years of DSP algorithm design and implementation experience is a must (FFT, IIR, FIR) Experience with embedded software development, Assembly, C/C++, VxWorks, Linux, ARM, SHARC, 67xx.
