END DATE NOVEMBER 2027)REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENTWAGE RATE: $45.49 - $64.06Reporting to the Manager of Emergency, the Nursing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities in the Emergency Department. The Coordinator oversees the care given by other professionals in the department and provides direct care as required. The Coordinator is responsible for staff scheduling, patient movement and flow, daily staffing assignments, maintaining equipment and supplies necessary for the delivery of care, and will act as a role model for staff in promoting multi-disciplinary communication, co-ordination of care and implementation of evidence based best practice within the critical care unit. The Coordinator will be expect to participate in corporate committees and to work collaboratively with other departments and sites within the corporation.Skills/Abilities/QualificationsRequiredOntario College of Nurses registrationSuccessful completion of ACLS, PALS, CTAS, CPI, and Code BluePhysical Assessment Course or equivalentArrhythmia interpretationProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookExperience in staff scheduling and knowledge of ONA and OPSEU contractsMinimum 2 years recent Emergency nursing experienceRecent experience in a coordinator or other leadership roleKnowledge of,
