Project Overview
SafetyCo is seeking a Site Safety Officer to support a 3-month construction project in Edmonton, Alberta. This field-based role is ideal for a safety professional who is confident working independently on active job sites while collaborating with project teams to maintain a safe and compliant work workplace.
You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Requirements
What You'll Do Conduct site inspections, identify hazards,
and provide actionable reports
Support implementation of health and safety programs on site
Lead worker safety orientations and verify training compliance
Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks
Participate in project meetings and provide safety recommendations
Assist with incident investigations and documentation
Liaise with regulatory bodies when required
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience
Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (Alberta), SA 2020, c O-2.2
Experience with inspections, hazard assessments, and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
