THE PROSPECT:
This candidate has excellent mechanical dexterity, can perform assembly tasks that require refined fine motor skills and will be able to interpret assembly work instructions. This candidate will have considerable initiative to multitask in a fast paced work environment and possess the basic qualifications outlined below.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and tear down of SMT line
- Operation of SMT machine, printers and ovens
- Review and interpret IPC, internal and customer supplied manufacturing documents
- Machine edits and in process trouble shooting
- Archiving of machine generated reports
- Daily machine preventative maintenance activities
- Producing product to required IPC standards
- Participate and adhere to DSM safety policies and practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 – 2 years previous related experience and/or training in SMT operation and maintenance
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, engineering drawings, and short correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and machine applications
- Strong drive and motivation to achieve success
- Initiative for identifying opportunities for improvement
- Class 2 or Class 3 soldering is an asset
- Perform repetitive tasks with speed and accuracy
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Availability for shift work
- Strong ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
- Regularly lifting and handling loads less than 10 pounds and occasionally lifting 25 pounds.
