Calgary Landscape Inc. is looking for dependable Snow Removal Team Members to work under the direction of a Snow Removal Team Leader. You’ll work alongside your crew to clear pedestrian areas, check for icy conditions, and keep equipment ready for the next assignment.
If you enjoy outdoor work, follow through on your responsibilities, and are willing to learn, we’d like to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Remove snow from sidewalks, entrances, accessible routes, ramps, internal walkways, and pedestrian areas behind parking curbs.
- Use shovels, snow blowers, walk-behind snow sweepers, and backpack blowers within your training and authorization.
- Complete assigned ice checks and apply approved ice-control materials as directed and trained.
- Follow the Team Lead’s assignments and work cooperatively to complete each property’s required service.
- Check your finished work, correct missed areas, and tell the Team Lead when an area needs further attention.
- Follow safe work procedures, wear required protective equipment, and report hazards, injuries, damage, or unsafe equipment promptly.
- Protect client property and remain aware of pedestrians, vehicles, and other people near the work area.
- Complete assigned equipment checks, cleaning, preparation, and storage duties.
- Provide accurate information about completed work, delays, and concerns,
including notes or photos when requested.
This is a hands-on team member role. You will not be responsible for supervising the crew, planning routes, or mandatory truck-and-trailer driving.
What you bring
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a dependable way to reach the designated reporting location. You do not need to own a vehicle.
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work respectfully with teammates.
- Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and use equipment only after training and authorization.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor winter work, including walking, shovelling, bending, pushing equipment, and safely handling tools and materials.
- Attention to detail and the judgment to stop and ask when work is unclear or unsafe.
- Availability for the winter shifts agreed upon during hiring.
A valid driver’s license is an asset, not a requirement. Any optional company-vehicle driving requires the appropriate license and separate company authorization. Entry-level qualifications. Previous snow removal, landscaping, or outdoor labour experience is an asset, but is not required.
