Walker Brothers Landscaping Inc. is hiring dependable, hardworking crew leads / drivers and team members for our winter snow removal team. Help keep sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other pedestrian areas clear and safe at commercial and residential properties.
Responsibilities — All Crew Members
- Shovel snow and operate snow blowers and other snow removal equipment.
- Apply salt and de-icing materials as required.
- Clear assigned areas safely and efficiently.
- Work on-call shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays.
- Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Communicate with your crew and report hazards or equipment issues.
Additional Responsibilities — Crew Leads / Drivers
- Safely drive company vehicles to transport crew members and equipment between assigned properties.
- Lead and organize a snow shovelling crew.
- Assign tasks and keep the crew working safely and efficiently.
- Check completed work to ensure all designated areas are cleared and treated.
- Communicate site conditions, progress, and concerns to management.
- Train and support team members in safe work practices and equipment use.
- Perform vehicle and equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Requirements — All Crew Members
- Dependability, a strong work ethic,
and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in winter weather.
- Reliable transportation to our yard when called in.
- Availability for on-call winter shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Additional Requirements — Crew Leads / Drivers
- A valid driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned company vehicle and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Previous snow removal experience.
- Ability to safely transport crew members and equipment in winter driving conditions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Pay & Benefits
