THE ROLE: (Based in Vancouver, BC OR St.John's, NL)

Be the face of Apex Sports volleyball. You'll play, film, post and run our athlete creator program across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

- Location: Greater Vancouver, BC (hybrid; gym shoots in person)
- Type: Full-time, permanent
- Pay: $65,000–$70,000 CAD base + up to $15,000 CAD performance bonus
- Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

ABOUT APEX SPORTS

Apex Sports (apexsports.co) makes affordable, portable training equipment for every athlete's journey. We bring the court to your backyard, driveway or home. Our volleyball rebounders and trainers sell across Amazon US, Amazon Canada and our own Shopify store. We're a small, fast team, and volleyball is our focus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Own our socials. Plan, shoot and post volleyball content on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, plus YouTube Shorts. Target posts a week on each platform.
- Manage every account. Schedule and publish all posts, respond to comments and DMs, and keep our profiles, bios and highlights up to date.
- Drive social media marketing. Own our social strategy and growth: launch campaigns for product drops and promos (Black Friday, back-to-season), boost top posts, run giveaways, and report monthly on what's working.
- Be on camera. Demonstrate drills with Apex volleyball gear so kids, parents and coaches can train at home.
- Build the drill library. Create step-by-step training videos for passing, setting, serving and hitting, by skill level.
- Shoot regularly. Run 2 batch gym/field shoots per month for drill content, plus quick weekly shoots for trends.
- Feed our ads.



Deliver raw clips and hooks for Meta ads every month, working with our paid media team.
- Run the creator program. Find, DM and manage volleyball athletes for product gifting and collabs. Track gifts and posts in our ops app.
- Support Amazon and Shopify. Supply product videos and lifestyle shots for our listings and website.
- Show up in the community. Attend local tournaments, clinics and club events; connect with coaches and clubs.
- Be our voice of the athlete. Share player and customer feedback with our product team.
- Plan the calendar. Own a monthly content calendar, shared with the team before each month starts. Our video editor handles final edits.
- Use AI every day. We run on AI. Use AI tools for scripting, editing, captions, ideation and scheduling, and bring new AI trends and tools to the team.

WHO YOU ARE

Must have

- Strong, technical volleyball player: club, college/university (U SPORTS, CCAA, NCAA) or high-level beach
- Comfortable and energetic on camera
- Shoots and edits short-form video on your phone (CapCut or similar)
- Knows what's trending on TikTok and Reels, and why it works
- Up to date on AI tools and trends for content (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, CapCut AI, Runway, Opus Clip)




- Experience with a social scheduling tool (Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer or similar)
- Organized: you plan a month ahead and hit deadlines
- Clear, friendly DM and email communication
- Based in Greater Vancouver or Greater St.Johns, Newfoundland with your own transport to gyms and fields for shoots

Nice to have

- Coaching experience with youth players
- An existing volleyball audience of your own
- Experience with influencer or creator outreach
- Basic Canva or Meta Business Suite skills

HOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS

Your bonus is tied to these monthly targets, set together in your first 30 days.

- Posts per week across all channels
- Engagement rate and follower growth on IG and TikTok
- Athletes gifted and creator posts published per month
- Usable ad clips delivered per month
- Shopify sales attributed to social and creator content
- Content calendar delivered before each month starts

PAY, TERMS AND HOW TO APPLY

- Pay: $65,000–$70,000 CAD base plus up to $15,000 CAD annual performance bonus.
- Perks: Apex Sports gear, versatile schedule around gym shoots and tournaments.
- Content rights: All content created for Apex Sports, including your name and likeness in it, belongs to Apex Sports and can be used after your employment ends. A usage release is part of the offer.
- Probation: 3 months.
