Verily's Workbench solution provides a secure, collaborative environment for data generators, research institutions, and biopharma organizations to govern and analyze their data. As the Technical Lead for the User and Accounts Management Team, you will shape and deliver the access and control layers of Workbench-enabling scientists and researchers to work safely with sensitive health data. This role directly contributes to Verily's mission to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day.

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of secure user and account management systems within Workbench. Develop scalable backend services and user interfaces using Go, Java, React, TypeScript, and Terraform. Drive technical discussions, mentor engineers, and contribute to system architecture decisions.

Identify and implement improvements in reliability, performance, and user experience. 5+ years of experience as a full-stack or backend software engineer in an industry setting. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,



or equivalent practical experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce clear, structured technical documentation.

Demonstrated expertise in Golang and building scalable backend systems or APIs. Proven leadership experience in technical direction, mentoring, and system design. Familiarity with React and TypeScript.

Cloud computing expertise (Google Cloud Platform or AWS). The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD $146,500.00 - $164,500.00 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
