The Newcomer Information Referral Specialist helps newcomers transition into Canada and become involved in their communities. This part time hourly contract requires 20 hours weekly through March 31, 2027. The position emphasizes needs assessment, referrals, information sessions, outreach, evaluation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Recruit and register newcomers with a welcoming approach
- Conduct needs assessments and referrals to YMCA services
- Research and organize current settlement information
- Develop and facilitate group information sessions




- Conduct outreach and maintain program reports

Requirements:

- Related university degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of settlement services and community resources
- Solid presentation, facilitation, and organization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet searches
- Flexibility for evenings, Saturdays, and different YMCA locations
