This Staff Software Engineer will lead technical design and development for cross-functional, multiplatform, fault-tolerant systems. The role spans front-end and server-side applications supporting Capital One’s travel portal. You will apply JavaScript, React, Angular/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, databases, and AWS services while guiding engineering standards and technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead technical design and development of application systems
- Work across the software development life cycle
- Improve internal frameworks, tools, and developer experience




- Establish engineering practices, standards, and code reviews
- Mentor junior and intermediate associates

Requirements:

- At least six years of hands-on development experience
- At least six years designing, architecting, and developing applications or data
- Full-stack front-end and back-end development proficiency
- Experience mentoring associates and guiding stakeholders
- Experience with AWS or other cloud products preferred
