Capital One Canada seeks a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer skilled in JavaScript, React, AWS, and application architecture. Work in a hybrid mode with three office days weekly.

This Staff Software Engineer will lead technical design and development for cross-functional, multiplatform, fault-tolerant systems. The role spans front-end and server-side applications supporting Capital One’s travel portal. You will apply JavaScript, React, Angular/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, databases, and AWS services while guiding engineering standards and technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities: Lead technical design and development of application systems

Work across the software development life cycle

Improve internal frameworks, tools, and developer experience





Establish engineering practices, standards, and code reviews

Mentor junior and intermediate associates

Requirements: At least six years of hands-on development experience

At least six years designing, architecting, and developing applications or data

Full-stack front-end and back-end development proficiency

Experience mentoring associates and guiding stakeholders

Experience with AWS or other cloud products preferred
