Job Summary The Sterilization Assistant supports safe, productive clinical operations by cleaning, preparing, sterilizing, and organizing reusable instruments and equipment. This role follows established infection-prevention procedures and helps ensure supplies are ready for use by clinical staff.

Duties

- Clean, inspect, package, and sterilize instruments and equipment according to established protocols and maintaining IPAC standards

- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor cycles, documenting results as required.

- Organize and restock sterilized supplies and maintain orderly storage areas.

- Track instruments and supplies, and report damaged, missing, or low-stock items.

- Maintain clean work areas and follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures.





- Communicate with clinical team members about instrument availability and processing needs.

Requirements

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following written procedures.

- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage tasks in a timely manner.

- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with clinical staff.

- Ability to learn sterilization equipment, infection-prevention practices, and relevant medical terminology.

- Prior experience in a healthcare, dental, or instrument-processing setting is helpful but not required.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
