Store Manager – Popeye’s Supplements Davie Street

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 + manager bonus + benefits

We’re looking for a Store Manager to take ownership of our Davie Street store in downtown Vancouver and turn it around. If you want a store where your leadership actually moves the numbers, this is it.

This is not a “sit in the office and make the schedule” management job.

We need someone who can lead from the floor, coach a team, understand KPIs, drive sales, hold people accountable, keep the store organized, and take ownership when things are not going well.

If you’re looking for an easy management position where the team basically runs itself, this probably isn’t the one.

What we’re looking for

- Strong retail management experience
- Experience leading and coaching a team
- Comfortable having direct conversations when performance is not where it needs to be
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs such as average sale, units per transaction, conversion, sales targets and individual performance
- Someone who can personally sell, not just tell everyone else to sell
- Strong customer-service instincts
- Comfortable with inventory, merchandising, labour, scheduling, cash handling and day-to-day store operations
- Someone who notices problems and fixes them instead of waiting to be told
- Competitive, but still knows how to build a good team culture
- Reliable and organized

Health, fitness or supplement knowledge is a strong asset, but it is not the most important thing. We can teach products.

It is much harder to teach someone how to lead people, coach performance, create accountability and actually care about the results of their store.





What the job actually looks like:

You’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the store.

That means sales, staff development, customer experience, inventory, store standards, scheduling, loss prevention, training and making sure the team understands what is expected of them.

Some days will be great.

Some days you’ll have an employee call in sick, a shipment show up, a customer issue happen, sales will be behind target and somebody will ask you a question you’ve already answered three times.

That’s retail.

We’re looking for someone who can handle that without falling apart.
