The Transitional Support

Worker provides relief coverage within Nisa Homes’ transitional housing program. You will support housing stability, safety, independence, and wellbeing through resident check-ins, assessments, advocacy, and resource navigation. The position includes one guaranteed weekly shift and availability as required.

Key Responsibilities: Build respectful relationships with residents Conduct check-ins, wellness assessments, intakes, and orientations Provide emotional support, coaching, and practical assistance Support housing goals, applications, referrals,



and service navigation Respond to crises and complete incident documentation Requirements: Related degree or diploma and one year’s recent experience Case management, assessment, intervention, and advocacy skills Conflict resolution, mediation, de-escalation, and crisis management skills Communication, active listening, resilience, and reliability Vulnerable Sector Check before employment begins Bring trauma-informed support, crisis response, and housing stabilization skills to women and families at Nisa Homes Vancouver.
