Citi, the leading global bank, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions. Citi provides consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management. Our core activities are safeguarding assets, lending money, making payments, and accessing the capital markets on behalf of our clients.
We are seeking a visionary, highly hands-on, and execution-focused Technology Product Management Senior Manager (C13) to join our Banking Technology group in Mississauga, Canada. In this role, you will lead the strategic product management, system integration, and AI-driven transformation of our core Enterprise Loan Origination, Client Digital Portals, and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Deal Management platforms. The Lending, Client Digital, and DCM Loans portfolio is undergoing a major multi-year digital transformation.
Currently, the front-office lending and client onboarding processes are highly fragmented, requiring bankers and clients to navigate multiple disconnected systems and manual workarounds. This role is pivotal to driving a unified, strategic transformation program that bridges internal lending operations with modern, client-facing digital experiences. We need a fully rounded, hands‑on Lending product leader who thrives at the intersection of enterprise product management, client-facing digital portals, and cutting-edge artificial intelligence.
You must be a proactive builder who can move things faster, translate complex business challenges into scalable technology solutions, and deliver high-impact digital experiences directly to our corporate and institutional clients.
Key Pillars of the Platform Transformation Client Digital Experience & Portal Enablement: Building world-class, self-service digital portals for corporate clients to manage loan lifecycles, track drawdowns, submit documentation, and monitor covenant compliance.
AI-Powered Capital Markets, Lending & Client Digital Transformation: Deploying advanced AI/ML, natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics to automate document intelligence, credit risk assessment, and client-facing conversational agents.
Cross-Functional Leadership,
Rapid Execution & Platform Governance: Leading agile delivery teams with a focus on speed-to-market, robust controls, model governance, and technical excellence.
Drive Product & Client Digital Strategy: Partner closely with business, operations, and technology senior leaders to align product roadmaps with business priorities, client needs, and regulatory commitments. Lead Hands-On, Rapid Product Delivery: Own and execute the end-to-end product roadmap for Lending and Client Digital initiatives. Act as an active, hands‑on leader who translates complex business, client, and regulatory requirements into prioritized, outcome-based product backlogs.
Drive rapid, high-velocity execution in an Agile development environment, removing blockers to move things faster.
Evaluate and prioritize opportunities to apply AI, ML, and advanced data analytics across lending, pricing, and client digital workflows. Ensure AI features (such as automated covenant extraction, intelligent document processing, and digital client assistants) are designed with appropriate controls, model governance, and explainability.
Partner across front office, middle office, operations, and corporate clients to define requirements and prioritize delivery. Work closely with Engineering and UX Design to deploy robust, integrated solutions across strategic credit, risk, client portals, and origination platforms.
Prototyping & Architecture: Get hands‑on with building proofs-of-concept (PoCs) and initial prototypes to validate ideas quickly, particularly for novel AI applications in lending, client self‑service, and capital markets tooling. Understand system designs and business functionalities simultaneously to guide technical architecture.
Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in technology product management, lending product development, or a hybrid product-engineering role in a global financial institution.
Domain Knowledge: Deep, specialized,
and fully rounded knowledge of corporate lending workflows (including loan origination, credit approval processes, loan syndication, covenant monitoring, and servicing) combined with a strong understanding of Client Digital portals, digital client onboarding, and self‑service financial platforms.
Familiarity with AI development tools and platforms is required.
Extensive experience leading complex integration programs across multiple legacy and modern applications, utilizing APIs, microservices, and modern data architectures to connect internal lending systems with external client digital interfaces.
Regulatory & Control Acumen: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management practices (including ESG/ESRM frameworks and fair lending guidelines) within financial services.
Technical Acumen & System Design: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to understand complex system designs, data flows, and business functionalities simultaneously. Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical design.
Stakeholder Management & Influence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to influence, align, and collaborate with senior business, technology, risk, operations, and external client partners globally.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
