The successful candidate will demonstrate: Solid knowledge of the Alberta Junior High curriculum.

Ability to teach multiple subject areas within a Grades 7–8 classroom.

Knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive educational practices.

Excellent classroom management skills appropriate for early adolescents.

Understanding of trauma-informed and relationship-based teaching practices.

Understanding of First Nations culture, traditions, and worldviews.

Commitment to culturally responsive education.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a small school environment.

Ability to establish respectful relationships with students, parents, Elders, and community leadership.

Flexibility, creativity, and willingness to help build a growing school program.

Qualifications Bachelor of Education.

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification).

Experience teaching Grades 7–9 preferred.

Experience working with First Nations students or Indigenous communities is considered a strong asset.





Experience teaching in multi-grade or small school settings is an asset.

Willingness to participate in community events and cultural activities.

Current Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check (or ability to obtain).

Remuneration Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
