Cortex mapping application to the VertiGIS platform.

The goal is to have 90% of the application migrated and functional by April 1, 2026, ahead of the fire season.

Migrating existing tools and features from Geo

Cortex to VertiGIS Studio Adding new functionality for the 2026 fire season, including an hourly Fire Weather Index (FWI) layer with interpolation Collaborating with the team to design, build, and deploy web-based GIS tools tailored to operational needs Responsibilities Designing, developing and implementing front end code including user interface interactions and creating attractive and effective user interfaces Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.

This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.

Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages,



including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations Experience & Skill Set Requirements SDK Customization and Web Mapping Development 30% Experience developing and extending features within web mapping applications using Java
