We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Truck Yard Safety Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of our truck yard and maintenance program. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the safety and operational readiness of our fleet, while also helping with general labor tasks that involve driving responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine checks on trucks to ensure safety and readiness (tires, lights, fluid levels, etc.)
- Assist with coordinating and dropping off trucks for oil changes, inspections, and service appointments.
- Pick up truck parts and equipment from vendors and suppliers as needed.




- Monitor yard conditions and ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Support mechanics and drivers with tasks related to truck preparation and loading.
- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance tasks, safety checks, and vehicle conditions.
- Assist with yard cleanliness and upkeep, including minor repairs and labor duties.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications:

- Valid driver’s license (Class G or equivalent; AZ/DZ is a strong asset)
- Experience in a trucking or transportation environment is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with truck components is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Must be dependable, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
