About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership, implement its mission, and advance innovation, cultural pride, and the sustainable development of Indigenous communities. The role includes leading organizational operations, developing services and programs, and building effective relationships with communities and external stakeholders. The Executive Director will oversee team performance and capacity building, support organizational governance, and represent the organization in public, media, and government settings.



They will also guide financial planning and reporting and lead fundraising and partnership efforts.

Candidates should hold a university degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, community development, human rights, or Indigenous policy. At least five years of experience managing a nonprofit organization and three years of team management experience are required. The role calls for strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting, as well as experience in fundraising and governance. Applicants should also bring public relations experience and a solid understanding of Indigenous Peoples’ realities and a commitment to their cultural and social development; knowledge of social and technological innovation is an asset.
