Hospice Georgina: Board of Directors
Volunteer Position | Georgina, Ontario
Help Shape the Future of Compassionate End-of-Life Care
Hospice Georgina is inviting passionate community members to join our volunteer Board of Directors. If you want to make a lasting difference for local families facing life-limiting illness and grief, we would like to hear from you.
About Hospice Georgina
Mission: Hospice Georgina is a caring community of individuals who provide Quality of Life, Dignity throughout the Journey, and Grief Support to all those living with or affected by a Life-Limiting Illness.
Vision: Sharing the Caring. Volunteer hospice care should be accessible to everyone in our community, supported by sustainable programs and services built through innovative fund development and volunteerism.
Hospice Georgina is a not-for-profit organization that has served the Georgina community since 1994. We provide non-medical emotional and spiritual support to people in Georgina living with a life-threatening illness, as well as their families and caregivers. We are a visiting hospice.
Our support is offered with compassion, is not therapy, and does not include hands-on personal support or health care. A caring ear and emotional support for clients and their families are at the heart of everything we do.
Our trained volunteers provide comfort and client-centered care, helping people take part in decisions about what matters most at the end of life or during grief. We visit palliative care clients who wish to remain in their own homes, live with family, or have moved into a more supportive setting such as a long-term care home.
