Coordinate Christmas Kettle locations for The Salvation Army while supervising volunteers and securing donations in an office-based seasonal contract.
The Kettle Coordinator II oversees several campaign sites across a geographical zone, including malls, grocery stores, and retail outlets. This position supports volunteers, communicates daily issues, and responds to donor questions about Salvation Army ministries and programs. It also coordinates transitions with an ATL partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, support, and assign Kettle Volunteers during campaigns
- Ensure donations reach secure locations after every shift
- Orient volunteers on Kettle handling and assigned duties
- Communicate supply deficiencies and daily issues to coordinators
- Submit accurate weekly timesheets and mileage reports
Requirements:
- One year of related or customer service experience
- Some high school coursework; completion is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 9 to 12 kilograms
- Willingness to support The Salvation Army mission
