Job Description -Sales Leader-Key Holder:Under the direction of the Store Manager, this role supports the store manager in leading the sales of Circle Craft merchandise of its members working at the Granville Island store location. The nature of Circle Craft's operations requires flexibility on the part of the employee, and duties may change over time. This is a full-time hourly position, working 4-5 days a week. The number of hours and days are versatile. This position requires a flexible schedule, working days, evenings, weekends and holidays.Supporting the store manager in leading and supervising the team to achieve sales targets by providing exceptional enthusiastic service.Acknowledging, greeting and engaging with customers in a manner that welcomes them to the store and will translate to sales.Ensuring knowledgeable assistance is offered at all times to customers regarding store items, members and activities.Ensure the team prioritizes customers and is ready to engage and answer questions consistently.Ringing through sales at the POS counter.Wrapping and packaging of purchases efficiently and promptly.GeneralResponsible for maintaining order and cleanliness of the displays and store.Responsible for restocking the display of all products that have been purchased.Support in the merchandising of all incoming new productKeeping inventory storage in front of the store to ensure all items are safely stored.Keep aware of the security of merchandise and be alert to shoplifters.Alerting management when additional stock is needed.OtherExecuting all procedures for the opening and closing of the storeAssist in the supervision of sales to ensure all customers are being assisted, store property is secure, and retail objectives are metAssist in follow-up training of newly hired sales staff.Conducting errands for the store when required.Participating in inventory counts.QUALIFICATIONSPrevious store retail supervisor experience is a must, minimum 1 year.Experience working with sales targets is a mustWork collaboratively and communicate effectively with the sales team.Flexibility with scheduling: we are open seven days a weekMerchandising experience is an assetFluent in spoken and written EnglishPassion for arts and culture, including learning about our artists' styles, is an asset.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentExtended health careSchedule:5-8 hour shift(s)HolidaysExperience:Retail sales lead or supervisor experience, a minimum of one year is requiredRetail merchandising experience of a minimum of one year is (preferred)Work remotely:NoSalary:$22.00 per hourExpected hours:30-40 hours per weekAbility to commute/relocate:Vancouver, BC V6H 3S2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
