We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to produce high-quality metal components for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing projects.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of safety protocols and be committed to producing precise, durable work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications
- Operate welding equipment including MCAW, FCAW and GMAW welders to join metal components accurately
- Use plasma cutting, hand tools for cutting, shaping, and forming metal parts
- Perform rigging tasks and operate cranes or forklifts as needed for material handling and assembly
- Assist in machining processes for component fabrication and assembly
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet engineering standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and protocols
Skills
- Proficiency in FCAW and MCAW welding
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and machinery operation
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with machining tools such as press brake machines and hand tools
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of ductwork fabrication, construction practices, and assembly processes
- Ability to use calipers, schematics, and other precision measurement instruments effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality assurance
