Key Responsibilities: Lead construction of medium and high voltage electrical systems
Install cable trays, trenches, bus, equipment, and steel structures
Install and commission transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment
Terminate medium and high voltage cables accurately
Maintain safety, quality, equipment, inventory, and daily records
Requirements: Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certificate, Red Seal
Four years of construction industry experience
Medium and high voltage systems expertise preferred
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
Understanding of safety regulations and lockout tagout procedures
Apply substation construction, cable termination, and safety expertise while leading electrical work for Valard Construction.
