Motion seeks a senior software engineer bridging product code and infrastructure. You will write backend application code for agent environments, using Node.js, TypeScript, Azure, Docker, Pulumi, and Linux systems. The work supports data-intensive APIs, customer-specific state, and AI task execution.
Key Responsibilities: Provision, update, secure, and observe Motion’s agent environments
Design abstractions for queues, locks, and background tasks
Evolve infrastructure-as-code patterns using Pulumi
Debug Linux systems, storage, permissions, logs, and containers




Participate in weekly cross-functional engineering cycles
Requirements: Six or more years as a software engineer
Meaningful infrastructure experience and strong production backend skills
Hands-on cloud experience, preferably Azure
Infrastructure-as-code experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK
Container experience, especially with Docker and runtime environments
Apply solid software engineering judgment to Azure infrastructure, container runtimes, reliable backend systems, and Motion’s AI platform.
