As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer, you will develop features from customer and product requirements, resolve legacy-product issues, and improve product performance. The work spans embedded systems, optical networking equipment, and software functions including platform infrastructure, BSP, applications, alarms, and service management. You will also support validation, integration, hardware, and test engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities: Design software features from customer and product requirements

Maintain accurate, current firmware documentation
Requirements: University degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Eight-plus years in embedded software systems
Five-plus years in optical networking industry equipment
Expertise in C and C++ embedded programming
Familiarity with L2/L3 protocols, Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps
Apply embedded Linux, C/C++, optical networking, and system software expertise to principal-level product development at Coherent Corp.
