Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Solution Architect to support a leading hire-education client with the assessment and modernization of a mission-critical, student-facing information system.

This individual will lead a comprehensive diagnostic of the application's current architecture, codebase, infrastructure, data flows, and integrations.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for evaluating the current setting and developing realistic short-term and future-state architecture options that support the organization's broader modernization strategy.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience modernizing legacy, monolithic enterprise applications and will be comfortable assessing options such as refactoring, re-platforming, rebuilding, or implementing a hybrid modernization approach.

Skills and Requirements
10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or a closely related architecture role
-Demonstrated experience leading legacy application modernization initiatives
-Strong experience assessing and modernizing large, monolithic enterprise applications
-Experience evaluating modernization strategies such as refactoring, re-platforming, rebuilding, and hybrid approaches
-Strong understanding of APIs, application integrations, databases, data flows, and distributed system architecture
-Experience defining current-state and target-state architectures




-Ability to assess an existing technology environment and translate findings into actionable architecture recommendations and roadmaps
-Strong communication skills with the ability to present architectural options, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
-Experience modernizing highly integrated, business-critical applications containing sensitive or complex data
-Experience with large-scale student information systems, ERP platforms, financial systems, or similarly complex enterprise applications
-Experience working in complex environments with significant legacy application and database dependencies
-Experience developing modernization roadmaps or supporting application transformation programs
