Now Hiring: Permanent Lighting Installer

We're looking for reliable, personable technicians to join our team installing Gemstone Lighting systems at homes across the province. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and delivering a great customer experience, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Each day starts at the shop, where you'll load vans with lighting materials before heading out to a client's home. From there you'll meet the homeowner, work both inside and outside their home, and install Gemstone Lighting equipment and tracks. At the end of the install, you'll walk the client through their new system and make sure they're comfortable using it before you leave.

What You'll Do

-Load the van each morning with lighting materials and supplies

-Drive to client homes anywhere in the province (Typically within HRM)

-Meet and greet the client, representing the company professionally

-Install Gemstone Lighting equipment and tracks, both inside and outside the home

-Access roofs, attics, safely using ladders, man lifts and harnesses

-Train the client on their new lighting system at the end of every install

Qualifications

-Confident and safe with hand tools and power tools, especially drills — you'll be mounting tracks, brackets, and fixtures regularly

-Familiar with vinyl siding and how to work with it without causing damage

-Comfortable working around electrical outlets, wiring,



and existing electrical components

-An electrical background is a strong asset

-Comfortable and secure working at heights using ladders and man lifts

-Professional, friendly, and personable — you'll be face-to-face with homeowners daily

-Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

-Able to work independently and as part of a team

-Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in clean, quality workmanship

Pay: $25.00-$40.72 per hour
