Key Responsibilities

- Distribution Design: Prepare, review, an seal (as Professional of Record) overhead and underground distribution design packages, including pole line layouts, underground cables systems, equipment sizing, and material specifiacations.
- System Analysis: Perform engineering calculations related to load flows, voltage drop, grounding, protection coordination, and clearance requirements.
- Software Modeling: Utilize industy-standard design and analysis tools such PLS-CADD, SPIDcalc, SME, or ETAP to optimize line routes and structural integrity.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with CSA standards, local utility practices (e.g., BC Hydro standards), and statutory safety regulations.
- Project & Field Support: Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and Indigenous Relations teams; conduct site visits and provide engineering support during construction and commissioning.

Required Qualifications

- Education:



Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering fron an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Licensure: Registration (or eligible for immediate registration) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC). If you are a Junior Engineer, we will support you to obtain your P. Eng.
- Experience: Minimum 0-3 years for Junior Engineers, 3-5 years for Intermediate Engineers, and 5-10= years for Senior Engineers. The experiecnce should be direct experience in eletric power distribution line design (4kV-35kV).
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with distribution design and finite element
